Living like an existentialist is the basis of my work. I aim to shift the traditional picture of a timid, fearful woman to the one whose anxiety breeds strength, who is empowered by her scars and whose vulnerability lets her body quiver, shake, open up and risk emotional exposure. For most, we are fuelled by the fear of what other people think or that dejecting voice that is constantly telling us we are not good enough. By virtue of the fact that we are all living with these struggles at different stages, I hope to allow the wearer to be taken places, to use the clothing they wear to feel confident, alive and free.
